Music and photography enthusiasts will have the opportunity to view rock and roll icons in an up close and personal way, through the revealing camera lens of world famous photographer Kevin Mazur in Cleveland, Ohio, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s newest special exhibit All Access with Kevin Mazur from January 31 – June 1, 2008.

Mazur’s 25-year craft has managed to capture legendary rock and rollers in a moment – lasting no longer than the blink of an eye – illuminating the true nature of the artist and the raw power of some of the most memorable rock concerts in history. All photographs in the exhibit were printed with an HP Designjet Z3100 photo printer and HP Vivera pigment inks.

After receiving a camera as a high-school graduation gift, Mazur set out to combine his two great loves – music and photography. With youth and a daring nature on his side, Mazur began his career by sneaking past concert security in the 80s and shooting photos of many of the decade’s most famous rock and rollers, including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Van Halen, Michael Jackson, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen.

During the 80s he was a staff photographer for Rolling Stone magazine and went on to photograph such artists as Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Ozzy Osborne and Nirvana during performances, backstage, in private recording sessions and portrait sittings. Mazur has also photographed many of the once-in-a-lifetime performances that have taken place at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies over the past 24 years.

Today Mazur is one of the most widely demanded and published rock and roll photographers in the world and is the live performance photographer of choice for a stable of world-class artists that include Sting, U2, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Madonna and the Rolling Stones.  His first book, All Access with Kevin Mazur, will be published by HarperEntertainment, an imprint of HarperCollins, in 2009.
